HCD.6.1:3 - Forces
| Need | Difficulty |
| Make the relevant feature accessible | Too many simultaneous differences can conceal what matters. |
| Preserve the intended work | A highly simplified exercise can remove the relation the learner must eventually use. |
| Begin with available capability | An instruction to produce an unfamiliar experience may presuppose the very capability being taught. |
| Support discovery and correction | Giving the answer can help learning while obscuring what the learner now notices independently. |
| Generalize use | Success with one display, body part, voice or example order may depend on that incidental feature. |
