HCD.6.1:5.3 - Separating a relation from the way it is drawn
A learner has recognized a shared dependency only when a diagram uses one color for its arrows. The teacher supplies two small constructions with different colors and layouts but the same dependency, and another with the familiar colors but a changed dependency.
The learner identifies which intermediate result both later steps need and explains what would become unavailable if it were removed. The changed drawing can expose reliance on color; the changed relation can expose superficial matching of the whole picture.
This task teaches noticing a relation already supplied by the subject account. Proving a new property of the construction remains another contribution.
