A previously opaque instruction can become an accessible distinction and a useful next action. The resulting practice also helps separate recognition, vocabulary, access and execution difficulties.
The design requires subject knowledge and attention to the learner’s response. It does not supply a universal exercise sequence or ensure that a particular contrast will work for every learner.
