MDPE.14:7 - Consequences

Positive consequences:

  • local optimization is checked against the wider performance and practice relations that matter now;
  • conflicts supported by named relations and strong enough to change the bounded decision stay visible across distinct holonic positions, scales, simultaneous Work, slower constraints, and representation uses;
  • practitioners receive a bounded decision;
  • split-use variants can preserve valuable differences when one compromise would damage both uses;
  • representation and metric losses become engineering inputs; and
  • artistic, bodily, technical, event, platform, and cultural concerns can be coordinated without absorbing their direct Methods.

Costs and limits:

  • relation recovery can show that the case needs only ordinary comparison;
  • representative trials may require performers, partners, venues, instruments, robots, audiences, judges, or teachers;
  • later observations can overturn the current decision;
  • some tensions should remain rather than be solved; and
  • a bounded project cannot control distributed cultural evolution.
