MDPE.18:4 - Worked Cases

MDPE.18:4.1 - Dance: a Tarraxo workshop attributes claims without inventing a complete genealogy

A festival workshop team must choose an attribution note and a small set of movement and partnering distinctions to trial. Current practitioner sources do not support a complete Tarraxo genealogy.

Tarraxo Agency home page, checked 2026-08-25The organization describes development and promotion of Tarraxo projects, artists, festivals, workshops, and performances.Self-description; no independent origin, prevalence, effectiveness, or continuation result.Describe the organization and event line as its own claim.
Gwany and Liliana practitioner profile, checked 2026-08-25The profile attributes creation to Gwany, dates the partnership, and reports teacher-training Work.Source-attributed creator and training claims, not adjudicated sole origin.Credit the claim to the profile rather than state it as complete history.
TOCA Method page, checked 2026-08-25One teaching MethodDescription emphasizes touch, observation, control, awareness, connection, musicality, drills, isolation, and placement.Commercial practitioner source; no proof of effectiveness, receiving capability, or universal Tarraxo essence.Select these distinctions for a bounded teaching trial.

Angolan antecedents, predecessor relations, independent corroboration, and current receiving capability remain open. The workshop can publish the qualified note and test the selected Method. MDPE.17 becomes current only when receiving enactment or source contribution is the next question.

MDPE.18:4.2 - Music: an Algorave brief uses a pinned community source

An organizer must decide what an introductory workshop and event should preserve from the documented Algorave line while allowing local variation.

Blackwell et al., Live Coding: A User’s Manual (2022), sections “What is Live Coding?”, “Partial Histories”, and “Algorave”Live coding is heterogeneous; Algorave is a coined rallying genre with changing local practices and communities.Partial practitioner-scholar history; no one sound style, local enactment, global prevalence, or continuation result.Present the event as one local realization of a heterogeneous practice.
Algorave guidelines, pinned commit 24b2ad5, README lines 1–24Most acts should use code-based or algorithmic generation and expose the process; every act need not be live coded or project a screen; other approaches can be mixed.Community event-programming MethodDescription, not evidence that receiving Agents perform Work under a Method described there or that an event team uses the guidance.Set minimum workshop and programme constraints without imposing universal screen projection.

The evidence supports a qualified event brief. Performer capability, code–sound control, room and projection setup, audience relation, and actual event Work require direct Methods and later observations.

MDPE.18:4.3 - A human–AI Music project page is not a style lineage

The Serpentine page for The Call names artists, a songbook, singing exercises, a recording protocol, fifteen choirs, datasets, choral AI models, an installation, and a data-trust experiment. It supports claims about that project and those materials.

It does not supply one reusable Method for later choir–model Work, establish autonomous cultural memory in a model, or prove a durable style line, receiving capability, recognition, or continuation. A later project may cite the materials it actually uses. MDPE.6 governs changed-condition use; MDPE.17 governs receiving enactment and source contribution.

MDPE.18:4.4 - Record survival is not living continuation

A video and notation of a dance survive, but no identified dancer can reproduce the pressure, timing, partner relation, and correction Method under representative conditions. The result can preserve the visible sequence, source history, and embodied gaps. It must not call the practice retained.

Use MDPE.19 to test whether reconstruction is feasible, whether a new branch should be developed, or whether the loss should be acknowledged.
