MKT.12:4.5 - Match the observation window to the experience question

For a specific transaction, collect information close enough to recover the relevant event and send an actionable failure to the operating recipient. For a continuing relationship, observe use and changes over a period that can reveal the issue; a pleasant purchase does not settle later usefulness. For a new possibility, use a bounded exploration whose observations can change the proposed contribution. These are different choices of cadence and recipient, not obligatory successive phases.

Select the combination of observation, conversation and measures from what each can expose. A log may show that an action stopped without showing why. A conversation may explain a perceived difficulty without measuring its frequency. A rating records a response under particular wording and conditions. State what each contributes before joining them.

Schedule inquiry around the decision and the participant’s burden. Combine requests when their meanings remain clear; stop repetitive questioning when it no longer changes the answer. Give urgent operational failures their own response rather than making them wait for a periodic research report.
