OPS.12:4.1 - Recover the affected work and applicable conditions
Name the operating decision, service horizon, tasks and affected groups. Follow the work beyond the visible queue: who prepares inputs, handles failures, answers interruptions, supplies handovers and receives incomplete results? Include the work the proposed intervention would displace.
Recover the applicable conditions from current assignments, service arrangements and qualified protection or capability results. These may concern recovery, exposure, supervision, safe staffing, access to help or a limit on simultaneous responsibilities. Keep their scope clear. A condition supplied for one task, person group or environment may need reconsideration under another.
Use ordinary descriptions first. A roster, service log and conversation with affected practitioners can be enough to identify that an extra task overlaps existing duty. If a protection is known to be breached, take the permitted containment action and seek the required authority promptly; collecting a wider score is not a prerequisite for that response.
