RHY.11:11 - SoTA-Echoing

Nelson’s Solkattu Manual (2008), printed pp. 15–17, supplies the explicit contrast between gesture cycle and phrase at several rates. It provides a concrete practice construction, not a universal learning schedule. The completed attempt above is constructed to demonstrate the resulting method.

Toussaint’s The Geometry of Musical Rhythm, second edition (2020), supplies useful discrete rhythmic constructions and action-allocation comparisons. A grid makes such relations calculable; continuous courses and actual joint capability require additional content.

Cha’s Takadimi reconsideration proposes added syllabic information. Birch and Walsh’s conducting response instead proposes a maintained gestural reference. That reference does not itself distinguish sustained sound from silence. Their comparison supports using complementary layers while retaining what each supplies. General joint coordination here is a conceptual synthesis; source examples do not prove its effectiveness in every movement or equipped performance.
