RHY.11:4.2 - Find the relations that make joint timing recoverable
Locate the relevant shared landmarks, intended displacements and intervals. For commensurate periodic parts, a common subdivision can make coincidence and alternation visible. Retain each part’s own grouping on that subdivision.
Use a few shared arrival points or demonstrated relations when a fine count is unnecessary or obstructive. For continuous contributions, relate identifiable portions of the course—such as a rise, turn or release—to the other part without reducing the whole course to those markers.
Do not force a common repeating grid on material that lacks one. A free phrase can relate to a sustained movement through a particular entrance or release; the interior relation may remain deliberately flexible. State the relationship the performance actually needs.
