RHY.13:1 - Problem frame

Use this when the next performance or development decision depends on whether a demonstrated rhythmic contribution remains available under a meaningful change: another tempo, entry, phrase, partner or representation; a later occasion; or performance without a selected cue.

Choose the particular claim needed for that decision and a passage that can distinguish its alternatives. The first result is a qualified conclusion about that contribution, an identified missing condition, or a reason why the proposed comparison cannot answer the question.

Successful use in familiar conditions can continue without a transfer test. When the question concerns human development, HCD.12 and HCD.13 supply the general transfer and retention methods. This Method constructs their rhythmic probes and distinguishes the capability of a performer from that of an equipped or jointly performing whole. For a controller, a configuration or policy test needs its engineering criteria; psychological retention assumptions do not follow from the same word “memory.”
