| Force | Practical tension |
| Representative change and attribution | A realistic new situation may change several conditions; that tests usability but may not identify why it failed. |
| Support and independence | Removing a prompt can expose an unlearned contribution or remove a legitimate part of the performing arrangement. |
| Retention and renewed learning | Demonstration, warm-up and earlier probes can change the capability being inspected. |
| Sufficient result and testing burden | A small contrast can settle a local decision; a wide claim needs a wider basis, not every local use. |
