RHY.14:4.1 - Select the rhythmic result and an adequate observation task

Take the receiving decision and choose the unresolved contribution: event placement, duration, reference continuation, coordination, partner readability, effort, desire to move, pleasure or another named response. Retain only the distinctions that can change that decision.

Choose a concrete observation task:

  • For event placement, identify corresponding events and the reference they should meet.
  • For continuation, observe the sound, movement or contact through the troublesome span, including its preparation and release.
  • For interaction, observe the receiving participant’s interpretation or action while the relevant passage is performed.
  • For experienced response, ask the participant about that response under the stated listening or performing conditions.
  • For enacted movement, observe the movement itself and its relation to the rhythmic reference.

Use RHY.4 when the event or received landmark is unclear. An attack, a peak, a weight transfer and a judged perceptual location are not interchangeable observation rules. RHY.13 selects a transfer or retention question; this Method supplies an observation needed by that probe without replacing its testing logic.
