RHY.14:4.3 - Preserve the relevant course between landmarks
When the question concerns sustained sound, continuous movement, changing pressure or a shaped envelope, select the portion that must continue or change. Observe that portion at a resolution that can reveal the consequential interruption, peak, release or reversal.
A few snapshots can answer a question about those sampled positions. To infer the course between them, use the relevant observation or a justified bound or model; state its contribution. Equal starts, ends and peaks do not establish equal intervening courses.
For a human or partnered passage, a short visible demonstration, recording or receiving-partner contrast can be enough. Ask about the event at which continuation became unavailable. If video shows no break but the question concerns contact pressure, obtain an observation that can access that pressure or retain the partner’s report as that kind of result.
Return the selected trajectory, marked span or qualitative contrast with its reference. RHY.7 can compare its relevant structural properties. More samples are useful only if an unresolved difference can change the choice.
