RHY.3:10 - Architectural Rationale
Carrier and articulation are different contributions that can occur together in one performance. They may be produced by the same movement or by different parts of a performing whole. Their relationship, rather than a particular instrument or dance figure, is the reusable object of the method.
Enacting a phrase may require a coordinated articulation, which itself relies on continuing bodily or actuator regulation. Practising each contribution separately can help locate a limitation; the performance still requires their joint enactment.
