Ed Soph’s “Foundational Brush Technique” (2021) supplies concrete alternatives for combining sustained brush motion and accents. Adopt those alternatives within brush practice; adapt the contribution distinction across other embodied activities. The source is practitioner instruction, not a comparative trial of universal training effectiveness.

Gjerdingen’s smooth-rhythm study motivates retaining continuous change in the analysis. It does not supply a dance or instrumental motor technique. The transfer from a representational distinction to this practical design method is an explicit synthesis.

An attack list is economical when attacks determine the needed result. Retaining the carrier and its course costs more attention but is warranted when their omission changes the sound, movement or next action.
