RHY.9:5.1 - A timely command whose cue arrives too late

In a constructed stage controller, a receiver must make an event at 2.00 seconds. A cue identifies that future target time. The supplied bounds are 0.05 seconds for cue delivery and 0.40 seconds for preparation; after preparation the receiver can wait until the target.

Sending the cue at 1.65 gives latest readiness at 2.10. Sending it at 1.50 gives latest readiness at 1.95, leaving 0.05 seconds before the target. Choose the earlier cue for a trial under those bounds. The intended event time stays 2.00.

The calculation concerns advance information and readiness. It does not establish audience-perceived timing or the bounds’ validity for another mechanism. If the delivery delay is unresolved enough to cross the available margin, return that uncertainty or choose an arrangement with sufficient known margin.
