RHY.9:5.3 - A beat gesture preserves reference but not sound duration
A learner recites an onset-syllable pattern while a teacher shows every beat. The teacher’s gesture can keep the reference available through an unspoken position. Whether the earlier sound continues or a rest occurs still needs the duration-bearing score, demonstration or agreed instruction.
RHY.5 chooses that representation and RHY.6 checks the correspondence. The cue arrangement retains the teacher’s gesture for reference and the demonstrated duration for realization. With either removed, only the conclusions dependent on it need reconsideration.
