STR.15:4.2 - Separate the relations that can change the answer

Ask only about relations material to the case. The following questions help recognize them; they are not a required complete inventory.

Cultural relationPractical question
Generation and variationHow do new formulations, directions or ways of strategic work become available?
TransmissionWho passes the practice to whom, by teaching, copying, demonstration or another actual means?
EnactmentWho actually uses the practice in a qualified occurrence of strategic work?
RecognitionWhat is noticed, praised, criticized or treated as a competent contribution, and by whom?
SelectionWhich variants or contributions are chosen for later use, support or further development?
Memory and retentionWhat reasons and examples remain available, and what is actually carried into later work?
Loss and mediationWhich distinctions disappear or become inaccessible, and how do tools, access or selection arrangements affect that?

A retained document can support a memory claim without proving that a reader retrieved or used it. Attending a demonstration can establish attendance without establishing capability. A favourable decision outcome does not establish which cultural relation caused it.

Use the direct evidence, Work, measurement or causal Method when the receiving claim needs that stronger result. Preserve a useful qualified account when the stronger explanation remains unresolved.
