HCD.22:8 - Common Anti-Patterns and How to Avoid Them
| Anti-pattern | Failure | Repair |
| One solver, many names | The task permits bypassing the intended personal work. | Require and use each necessary operation, then observe the corresponding personal return. |
| Artificial dependence | Secrecy or scarce access obstructs work without adding learning. | Retain only the dependence that serves the selected contribution. |
| Readiness ritual | A private test precedes teaching even when the method is unavailable. | Supply modelling or preparation, then select an interpretable attempt. |
| Discussion by vote | Popularity replaces a subject criterion. | Compare grounds, discriminating conditions and a qualified return. |
| Scheduled but unconnected | Earlier activity produces nothing the next participant can use. | Specify and inspect the actual material transfer. |
| Unrecoverable expert | One absent or mistaken contributor defeats a distributed task. | Restore a qualified contribution and separately restore the missed learning opportunity. |
| Universal final report | Documentation displaces a bodily, explanatory or interpersonal target. | Preserve only the common result needed for the work and inference. |
