HCD.22:9 - Consequences
The designer can explain why participants need one another, what each must do and how the interaction changes their next attempt. Recovery can preserve a group task without misreporting an absent participant’s learning. Different tasks can use different visibility, products and roles.
The cost is preparing qualified fragments, feedback, material connections and recovery. More detailed coordination can itself obstruct a simple task; remove it when the same learning contribution is available with less work. Reopen the design when a participant can bypass the target operation, a transfer fails, help changes or the common result no longer serves the learning purpose.
