HCD.9:4.6 - Decide the Episode Outcome without Overclaiming
Use one of these bounded positions:
- changed action under recorded conditions: the retry shows the intended correction or discrimination with its actual support;
- unchanged or recurring difficulty: the same relevant error remains after usable feedback and a valid retry;
- new or differently located difficulty: the retry changes the diagnosis or exposes another dependency;
- safe stop or incomplete episode: risk, missing access, provider failure, time, or task invalidity prevents a truthful retry.
The first position is a useful local practice result, not proof that feedback caused the change or that capability will appear independently, transfer, or persist. Route those interpretations to their direct Methods. The other positions can change the next Method, task, support, or practice focus without declaring the learner generally incapable.
