RHY.12:2 - Problem
Knowing the sequence does not ensure that a performer can maintain its reference, duration, articulation and relation to other actions at the same time. Repeating the whole passage may conceal the limiting contribution. Practising each part separately can conceal the difficulty of combining them.
The next useful practice must therefore preserve the rhythmic relation being learned while making its limiting contribution available for correction. It must return that contribution to the passage in which it is needed.
