RHY.3:4.3 - Add one articulation and inspect both results
Use a manageable passage. Add the articulation while retaining the named continuing property. Inspect that property and the articulation separately, then ask whether their relation supports the performance.
If continuity fails, locate the interruption: contact was lost, the sustaining contribution was reassigned, or the accent consumed the movement needed for continuation. Change the smallest relevant aspect. If the articulation disappears, vary its contrast or use another contribution while preserving the carrier.
Return to the simpler version when the combined attempt no longer makes the failure interpretable.
