Human Capability Engineering DPF Suite

First Suite edition.

Human Capability Engineering connects knowledge of how people change with Methods for forming, changing, restoring and sustaining their capabilities. The human is the holder whose capability is at issue; a teacher, assisting AI or provider organization may perform part of the work.

Use this Suite when a person needs to become able to do something, recover an ability or keep it usable, and the required change must be connected to realistic practice, support and evidence. Its first edition covers the learning and somatic contributions described by two complete DPFs. It does not offer comprehensive Methods for the whole organism, personality, health or personal management.

Start from the missing contribution

If you need to understand what limits a person’s work, begin with Diagnose Whether a Capability, Misconception, or Behaviour Limits Work (HCD.3). The useful answer may be a justified capability-change target, or a return to a missing tool, explanation, condition or specialist contribution.

If a familiar movement fails because bodily experience, voluntary regulation and the visible action do not yet connect, begin with Model the Bodily Contribution to a Movement (SOM.1). Suitable technique and physical conditions remain necessary.

A known sufficient Method can be used directly. Read its full conditions and cases, including the required teaching competence.

Two complete constituent languages

Patterns counts the complete pattern bodies in each linked DPF. Text, M characters gives the size of its full Markdown file, including its embedded Reference and supporting sections, in millions of Unicode characters (1 M = 1,000,000), with spaces and original line breaks included and values rounded to three decimals.

DPFPatternsText, M charactersContribution to the whole
Human Capability Development — HCD291.140Relates later work to human capability demand, programme and learning-product construction, practice, support, performance evidence, transfer, retention and revision.
Somatic Movement Modeling — SOM50.069Constructs bodily distinctions, regulated effort, coordinated change and adaptation to support or load within an already known movement practice.

The Human Capability Engineering DPF Suite Architectural Reference (HCE) explains why these contributions form a useful assembly, how they constrain each other, the alternatives and the limits of this first edition. Its movement example (HCE.Reference:3) shows why a plausible programme and a successful local exercise can still leave the intended action unavailable.

Relation to the rest of the Library

This is a specialization of engineering by its human target. The Engineering DPF Suite supplies the broader account of constructing, changing and sustaining functioning systems. The specialized Suite keeps the complete HCD and SOM descriptions together with the explanation of their human mechanisms. Each description has one home in the Library.

Successful work with external help can be sufficient without the person acquiring the helper’s capability. Learning an existing Method can also finish without becoming an open-ended development undertaking. The Architectural Reference explains these different results (HCE.Reference:1) and the outside contributions (HCE.Reference:6).

Use Using FPF and its DPF Suites for connected reading, FPF Core for shared meanings and general Methods, and the FPF Library Architectural Reference for the relation among the Library’s languages.
