MKT.11:4 - Solution
MKT.11:4.1 - Recover the whole promise and the conditions it implies
Take the offer, relevant communication and customer’s understood result. Identify what is promised, to whom, when and under which conditions. Include access, support, customer work and later obligations where they change the result. MKT.2 supplies the offer; MKT.5 can reveal conflicting experience conditions; MKT.6 supplies the agreed useful contribution.
Read the promise from a concrete use. What would have to happen for the customer to receive the supported result? Recover the required work and contributions, including those performed by the customer or another provider. Include what must happen before a later action can begin and what must remain available while it occurs.
Keep a proposed new offer distinguishable from an existing commitment. A proposal can be narrowed before agreement; an existing obligation requires its applicable change or remedy decision. If the whole service arrangement is missing, obtain its construction through MKT.9 and SYSE.8 before treating a list of willing contributors as sufficient.
MKT.11:4.2 - Obtain a real supply answer for each consequential contribution
Ask the responsible contributor what result can be supplied, under which inputs, capability, access, timing, volume, terms and support conditions. Identify the person or organisation that can make the commitment. Separate a possible contribution, a decision to arrange it, an effective arrangement and work already performed.
For a small known service, this can be a short confirmation of the changed condition. For a new or disputed arrangement, recover the needed relations explicitly. OCE.6 establishes actual assignments and their enabling conditions: a named person still needs suitable capability, available time, permission, access and the authority relevant to the work. Obtain missing conditions from their responsible sources rather than assigning them by implication.
Use a competent operating answer for the supported service volume and response conditions. An apparently free calendar is not evidence that a team can handle variable arrivals, exceptions or a required service level. If the provider cannot yet answer, keep the dependent promise conditional or choose a smaller contribution whose supply is known.
Do not assume the customer’s work merely because it appears in the offer. Obtain the needed participation, preparation and decisions in a form appropriate to the relationship. A payer’s approval may not provide a user’s time or an access authority’s permission.
MKT.11:4.3 - Join the contributions and resolve the whole conflict
Check the connections from the receiving result through the actual work. For every consequential handover, establish what the receiving party obtains, what makes it usable, who notices an absent or unsuitable result and what continuation follows. Include responsibility for helping the customer when the failure spans teams.
Compare the combined demand at the times and resources that can constrain the promise. Count preparation, customer-specific work, coordination, help, exception handling and recovery as well as the visible delivery. Keep unlike resources separate. Two teams’ total hours do not establish availability of the one specialist needed at a particular moment.
When contributions conflict, compare feasible alternatives: change scope or time, choose another provider, obtain a missing capability or access condition, change the arrangement, or decline the unsupported promise. Use ME.6 when the choice concerns incompatible combinations of methods, work or allocation. Use the returned comparison where it is sufficient instead of repeating it as another marketing exercise.
Obtain the decisions that make the selected arrangement effective. Then align the offer, invitation, customer-facing interface and staff explanation with its actual scope. A contradictory old invitation can continue to create expectations after the internal plan changes; revise the affected expression and address already made commitments through their applicable terms.
MKT.11:4.4 - Connect customer insight to a bounded change in work
When a customer account, journey inquiry or observed failure exposes a mismatch, state the specific condition that should change and the receiving result it is meant to improve. Give the people who can act the relevant evidence and its limits. They must be able to distinguish a reported experience, a failed operation and an inferred cause because these can require different changes.
Choose the level of change that the result needs. A known exception can be handled within current authority; a repeated missing contribution may require a changed assignment, resource allocation, staff capability, product feature or provider agreement. Obtain that contribution through its responsible practice. A general instruction to care more does not supply any of them.
Where staff need discretion, establish what they may decide, within which scope and resource conditions, and where they return a case outside that scope. Obtain the knowledge and capability needed to exercise that discretion. Where a recurring cross-team decision is needed, arrange a usable means for the responsible people to receive the evidence and resolve it. A new standing committee is unnecessary when an existing decision and communication route can do the work.
Give the change actual time, support and an attainable receiving operation. OCE.11 coordinates preparation, learning, trial, recovery and hand-back with continuing service. If the total burden is not feasible, reduce or reschedule the change, obtain support or return the decision. Do not finance the new promise with unacknowledged work by staff who must still serve current customers.
After the change, recover what was implemented, what occurred in use and whether the relevant customer result changed. Use that distinction to retain, revise or reverse the arrangement. Repeated useful changes can alter the organisation’s ordinary methods, assignments and support; the responsible practices must establish those changes. The insight record alone does not institutionalize them.
MKT.11:4.5 - Arrange the actual continuation and failure response
Before a dependent customer action begins, confirm the necessary contributions for that case and interval. Use OPS.6 to obtain the executable continuation with a performer, effective conditions, expected result, stop or fallback, and a return to continuing operation. A sufficient existing result can be reused while its conditions hold.
Make failure handling intelligible to the people who encounter it. Identify what the customer can do, who receives an unresolved case, what temporary alternative is available and what cannot honestly be promised. A customer should not have to discover which of two providers owns an internal disagreement before obtaining the agreed response.
Observe performance where a difference changes action. A provider’s delayed input, a lost permission or an exhausted support interval can invalidate a dependent continuation. Pause or revise that branch and obtain the changed input; preserve independent useful work where its conditions remain valid. MKT.7 handles restoration or ending when the relationship decision is affected.
MKT.11:4.6 - Return the supported promise and maintain its dependencies
Return what can now be promised and performed, its material conditions, the actual continuation and any unresolved contribution. Communicate changes to the people maintaining the offer and arranging work. Keep a condition visible for as long as another contribution relies on it. When a team’s task finishes, identify which obligations remain under the applicable terms, who must fulfil them and which receiving contributions depend on them. Include obligations retained by the supplying team as well as those of receiving teams.
Review the arrangement when a provider, customer requirement, support capability or relevant demand changes. Reuse current sufficient confirmations. A recurring mismatch can reopen the service construction or the commercial model through MKT.9/13; a changed scale of work with organisations can reopen MKT.14. The result remains an account of supported contributions, not a claim that the entire customer’s outcome is under provider control.
